Snack Ideas for Kids


Kids are notoriously fickle. This week's favorite food may be tossed aside next week with an inexplicable, "I don't like them anymore." Moms on TheHomeSchoolMom in the Kitchen Yahoo Group are familiar with that frustration and have suggested the following snacks to help you find something that will keep the kids happy when last week's favorite is ancient history.

Kid-friendly snack ideas :

  1. Quesdillas and salsa


  2. Chopped apples microwaved with a bit of cinnamon and sugar


  3. Fill graham crackers with whipped cream or pudding and freeze


  4. Granola


  5. Apples with peanut butter


  6. Apples with yogurt


  7. Jell-O squares


  8. Mini muffins


  9. Hummus with pita triangles or tortilla triangles


  10. Cream cheese spread on tortillas with a little bit of deli-style meat, rolled up and cut into bite-size pieces


  11. Apples with PB Crackers and cheese slices


  12. Soft pretzels Cheese and crackers


  13. Peanut butter crackers


  14. Vegetables and dip


  15. Chips and salsa or other dip


  16. Fruit and homemade fruit dip
