This homemade biscuit mix using dehydrated butter and dehydrated whole eggs is a good alternative to box mix. It can be stored at room temperature and makes wonderful biscuits when mixed with buttermilk.
1-¼cupsdehydrated butter, or dehydrated shortening
¾cupspowdered milk
½cupdehydrated whole egg
¼cupbaking powder
1T.salt
2tsp.cream of tartar
1tsp.baking soda
Instructions
Thoroughly mix all of the ingredients together in a large bowl. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 12 months. Use in place of commercial biscuit mix.
